Mind
Body
Spirit
As whole persons, we carry a natural connection between all parts of ourselves, including the physical, spiritual, and mental. Riverplace emphasizes providing support to the individuals we work with on all levels, whether regarding mental and physical wellness, the food and movement each body takes in, or the core spiritual (12 Step) foundations each desires to pursue. We believe in the correlation between the strengthening of these areas and that they are each tied to people living full, high-quality lives. Our commitment is to help our clients pursue this.
Person-Centered
Here at Riverplace, you and your needs are significant. You’re not viewed as a number but as someone with your own needs, experiences, and background. We acknowledge this and support you from where you are upon entering the space. We get to know you, pursue your healing alongside you, and tend to your needs as you work toward your future.
Riverplace supplies its clients with a process of care in which recovery is approached in phases.

The duration of time spent with us is determined by each individual and their care team based on personal needs. We provide various program types, from intensive outpatient with or without lodging to extended care and jail programs. Each program type comprises weekly programming with one’s primary counselor and various groups, which are all essential to achieving fulfilling, lasting recovery.

Getting to the Roots
Giving our attention to difficulties and challenges is natural and easy. Still, at Riverplace, we believe that ignoring the root causes of these experiences can be harmful and stunt the true transformation each individual can facilitate in their life. These roots often need to be dug up, and we created our programming to facilitate this process alongside each client.
Group Therapy
Each group therapy session is facilitated by a licensed counselor and provides clients with a safe space to explore different topics, symptoms, ideas, and stressors communally. Recovery takes a lot of work and can feel isolating at times, and group therapy provides a community that lets each client know they have a team of people around them who understand what they are going through and is right next to them through the process.
Individual Therapy
Often, substance use disorders result from a person experiencing trauma to any degree and are used as a coping mechanism to stay afloat in the aftermath of that trauma.
Through confidential, individual therapy sessions with licensed counselors, clients can work on gaining an understanding of why they do what they do and building up confidence, skills, and resilience to pursue a more healthful, beneficial path to healing.
Peer Recovery Support
In partnership with various other peer recovery organizations, Riverplace walks with our clients throughout their recovery journey. As a result, these peers receive ample training and certification so that through mutual respect, understanding, and empowerment, they can support clients in becoming and staying engaged in the process of recovery, helping reduce the likelihood of a client experiencing a relapse.
